FedEx Golf with Love
Cengkareng Golf Club was pleased to hold RPX Group golf tournament dubbed as FedEx Golf with Love, as an appreciation for its loyal customers, on February 14.
Over the years, CGC has been delighted to host golf outings, meetings, and other events for its clients. Last February, on Valentine's Day, RPX Group, one of the pioneer players in One Stop Logistics, held their customers' appreciation golf tournament at CGC's golf course. The tournament was aimed to maintain and enhance business relationships between FedEx and its key customers by creating fun moments through golf events.
"This event is one of our appreciations to all FedEx customers who faithfully use FedEx products and services," stated the organizers of FedEx Golf with Love to Soewarna Digest, adding that the company's loyalty program can only be enjoyed by certain FedEx customers., with the with the main requirement of having a penchant for playing golf. Other purposes of the event, in addition to playing fun golf, was to get to know better each of RPX Group's customers and find out more of their needs and future plans, in regards to the logistics services.
Overall, the event was participated by 12 golfers from RPX Group and 20 players from their top international customers. There were eight flight and was held in 36 system golf mechanism with no handicap (3 best net winners). System 36 is a same-day handicapping system that allows golfers who don't have official handicap indexes to play in tournaments that require the use of net scores.
System 36 - like the Callaway System and Peoria System, two other same-day handicap formulas - will, if it is used by tournament organizers, is found at charity tournaments, corporate outings, association playdays and the like; tournaments where organizers want to award low-net titles or prizes but know that many golfers playing won't have official handicaps.
How does System 36 work? System 36 assigns a point value to a golfer's scores (pars, bogeys, etc.). At the end of the round, add up those point values and subtract from 36. That becomes the golfer's handicap for the round just completed.
After lunch and welcoming speech by the CEO of RPX Group Taufick D. Mochtar, the FedEx Golf with Love tournament began. When it ends in the afternoon, all players were attending dinner at the CGC restaurant, which also saw the Commissioner of RPX Group Harsha E. Joesoef delivered his speech before the tournament winners' announcement. There were also some entertainment during dinner which accompanied the giveaway of lucky draw prizes.
